Issues
The issues we are taking up in AIKSCC for the betterment of farmers are the obstacles which hurdle the improvement of the lives of farmers in India with the government through the cooperation and assstance of individual farmer and farmers organizations.
Listed below are the main issues:
1. Large scale indebtedness among farmers.
2. Farming not a remunerative profession.
3. Lack of irrigation facility in many states.
4. Lack of warehouse & cold storage facility.
5. Increase in the input cost of the farmers.
6. Decrease in the the money received after selling the produce.
7. APMC the price fixing body has no farmer representation.
8. Middlemen taking away the benefits which should have gone to the farmers.
& 9. The lack of crop insurance facility to all the farmers in all the corners of the country.
