All India Kisan Sangharsh working committee meeting held at New Delhi on 11th Aug 2017 to chalk off the future stratgy for farmers' agitation.


AIKSCC to launch nationwide farmers' agitation

All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committe held its general body meeting on 11th Aug at New Delhi to carry forward the historic movement that was launched 16 June on through several programmes to empower the "farmers".

This was decided after receiving an overwhelming response from farmers and villagers to the first Kisan Mukti Yatra of AIKSCC from Mandsaur to Delhi from 01 to 18 July which culminated in the first ever two day Kisan Sansad at Jantar Mantar.


Accordingly, five more Kisan Mukti Yatras have been planned and these are "2nd Kisan Mukti Yatra" of Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir from 31st August to 06th September, "3rd Kisan Mukti Yatra" of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana from 16th September to 20th September, "4th Kisan Mukti Yatra" of North Bihar (Champaran), Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand from 02nd October to 10th October, "5th Kisan Mukti Yatra" of Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, South Bihar & West Bengal from 29th October to 05th November and "6th Kisan Mukti Yatra" of Mizoram, Tripura, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya & Assam from 06th November to 10th November.

It was also decided that on the first day of winter session of Parliament in November, a mass gathering and meeting of farmers from all over the country will be held at Delhi to press for acceptance of the two primary demands of AIKSCC which are giving "Remunerative Prices computed at 50 per cent of the input price" and "Freedom of all farmers from all kinds of debt".
