My career's been up with special performances against tough teams in good bowling conditions & difficult circumstances. I made my debut on a hostile tour of Australia in which most of our batsmen had failed, but I showed grit & gumption, & attained an average of 35. The tours of West Indies, England & Sri Lanka in the next few years showed my well preparation & earned me an opener slot in the WC. Justifying the trust bestowed on me, I cemented my place at the top & faired even better in the next overseas seasons. I played match-winning innings in many battles & turned out to be a pillar of rock for our team. My consistency never dipped & this is the result of this only that I have a Test average of 69 & ODI average of 46. I enjoy playing the game much with intense passion.
